Julius Berger, Rivers Sign Contract to Dualise Ahoada-Omoku Road Phase 1

Wednesday in Port Harcourt, the Rivers state government and Nigeria’s frontline engineering construction company, Julius Berger Nigeria Plc, signed a road construction contract for the dualisation of the ever-busy Ahoada–Omoku road Phase 1.

The contract is sequel to the ongoing construction of other superbly engineered and very functional roads, flyover bridges and other infrastructures across Port Harcourt by Julius Berger.

The state governor, His Excellency Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, CON, at the signing ceremony held inside the State Exco Council Chambers recalled what he described as “the good work Julius Berger is doing about our infrastructures in the state, adding that he expected no less high premium performance from the company which is generally acknowledged as the nations infrastructures development parnter of choice for any technically challenging projects, especially those of  high priority across the country.

The Governor also called on the communities on the project corridor and related stakeholders to maintain social harmony and cooperate with the contractors for project accomplishment as scheduled by the Government.

The Director of Finance of Julius Berger Nigeria PLC, Mr. Martins Brack who represented Julius Berger’s Managing Director, Engr. Dr. Lars Richter said, “At Julius Berger, we welcome every challenge and we best it  to the comprehensive satisfaction of our clients.; as always, Julius Berger is habitually, professionally prepared to take up any such task.

Our experience over the years of collaborating with Nigeria for its critical infrastructural development needs, speaks volumes about our professional and operational resume. I assure the governor and people of the state, especially the communities the project is designed to serve that their unique expectations from the dualisation project will be met.”

Others members in the Julius Berger team at the contract signing ceremony in Port Harcourt include the Regional Manager, South South/South East, Nigeria, Engr. Juergen Fischer, Project Coordinator and management staff, South-south operations, Chief Sam Ngbor; and Contract Manager, Barr. (Mrs) Omonigho Brown.
