Transcorp Hilton Abuja has issued a formal rebuttal against viral social media claims alleging the hotel cancelled a scheduled political rally.

In a statement signed by Acting General Manager Mohamed Said Khalil, the luxury hotel clarified that the incident in question was a matter of availability, not a political or administrative cancellation.

The management described the circulating narrative as “inaccurate, malicious, and entirely fabricated,” urging the public to disregard the misinformation.

The hotel clarified that while an inquiry was indeed made, it never progressed to a confirmed reservation.

The hotel reaffirmed its position as a hospitality provider, emphasizing that its operations are guided by capacity and booking protocols rather than political considerations.

  • Capacity Constraints: As a primary hub for diplomatic and high-level corporate activity in Nigeria’s capital, availability at the Transcorp Hilton is often tight during peak holiday periods like the Easter weekend.
