Gas Master Plan Is To Boost NGL, Nation’s Economy – GED Gas

The Group Executive Director Gas and Power of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation ( NNPC ), Abdulkabir Ahmed, has disclosed that the actualization of Gas Master Plan will boost Natural Gas Liquid (NGL).

The GED also explaned that the Master Plan aimed at unlocking all Gas resources across the country irrespective of where the resources are.

Ahmed made this disclosure in Kaduna at the weekend during a public lecture organised by the Nigerian Society of Chemical Engineers (NSChE), where he also said that the Gas Master Plan, if completed, will create job opportunies for Nigerians and add values to the nation’s economy.

The GED also explained that the policy for the Gas Master Plan will help to diversify the economy of the country and boost her revenue.

Speaking onbehalf of the GED, the General Manager Commercial Nigeria Gas Company Limited; a subsidiary of NNPC, Engr. Igbokwuwe Emmanuel, further said that the plan was to create Central Processing Unit ( CPU ) for easy harnessing of the Gas across the country.

While speaking, he applauded President Muhammadu Buhari for given all the required support to ensuring that the Gas Master Plan is moving fast to completion stage.

” The extent of actualisation of the master plan is at advance stage and the President has matched his words with actions to ensuring that we identify those areas that gas resourses have not been harnessed”, the GED said.

This is just as it was also disclosed that the actualisation of the Gas Master Plan will put the electricity supply at advantage level and help the fertilizer companies amongst others.
