Geregu Power Plc has declared a final dividend of ₦9.00 per share for the fiscal year ended December 2025. The payout comes despite the company reporting largely flat earnings, a result of rising operational costs offsetting increased power generation revenues.
The announcement has particularly buoyed “new” shareholders who entered the stock at the end of 2025, buying out Billionaire investor Femi Otedola.

As a result of this transaction MA’AM Energy Limited acquired the equity interest in Amperion Power Distribution Company Limited thereby becoming the new controlling shareholder of 77% of Geregu Power issued share capital.
Senator Abdul-Aziz Abubakar Yari the new Board Chairman, owns 1.921 billion shares of Geregu Power, or about 76.84% of the Company. He will earn N17.29 billion as dividend.
Geregu Power reported profit for the year of N27.25 billion in FY 2025, compared to N27.425 billion in the previous period.
