VFD Group has reported a 19% quarter-on-quarter growth in after-tax profit to N1.48 billion in the second quarter (Apr – Jun 2022) period, according to data from its financials seen by MoneyCentral.
VFD Group is an investment firm with a portfolio across 41 businesses, ranging from financial services to asset management, real estate, and Fintech.
VFD had a total asset base of N141.5 billion as at June 2022, and its shares are traded on the NASD OTC marketplace.
In December 2021, the Rights Issue of VFD Group’s 7,452,054 Ordinary shares of 0.50kobo each at N556.00 per share were admitted to trade on the NASD OTC Securities Exchange.
The company raised N4.1 billion from the Rights Issue.
VFD Group Plc increased its shareholding in Nigerian Exchange Group Plc (NGX Group) to 5.17% of the issued share capital of NGX Group as at 16 February 2022, according to a filing earlier this year by the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) to shareholders.
VFD Group is currently in the market to raise up to N5 billion in Commercial Paper. The major Shareholders of the Group include Premium Green Limited, Expoze International, Three Seas Investment and Mcgreen Settlement Limited.
Aside from these Companies, no other Shareholder held up to 5% of the Group’s Shares.
