Nigeria’s Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has given companies until August 1, 2026 to comply with statutory requirements on business letters, warning that defaulters will face sanctions.

In a public notice on Wednesday, the commission said enforcement will begin under Sections 304(1) and (2) and 729(1)(c) of the Companies and Allied Matters Act (CAMA) 2020, and applies to all companies registered under the law or any statute it repealed.
