Chaka Receives SEC’s First Fintech License

Must read

Investment firm and brokerage house Chaka has been granted the first-ever Digital Sub-Broker/Sub-Broker Serving Multiple Brokers Through a Digital Platform license by the Nigerian Securities and Exchange Commission or SEC.

This comes after Chaka had taken steps to register for a “newly created license” with the Securities Exchange Commission of Nigeria.

“We are committed to ensuring that our investors have the same safeguarding and security as any regulated financial institution, and receiving SEC’s Digital Sub-broker license demonstrates our sustained commitment to regulatory compliance,” Chaka said in a statement.

“We would like to use this opportunity to thank you for your patience and continued trust in us. We encourage you to continue to build and grow wealth on our safe, secure, and licensed investment platform.”

Chaka is one of a few firms that enable Nigerians to buy United States listed equities such as Tesla, Microsoft and Apple.
