Jaiz Bank Profit up 43% to N1.17bn in Half Year

Jaiz Bank Plc, a Nigerian lender operating under Islamic banking principles has released Half Year (H1), 2020 results showing a 43 percent increase in profits to N1.17 billion, compared to the earlier period.

Most Income lines surged including income from investing and financing activities.

Total assets rose by 11.6 percent to N186.6 billion for the period, compared to N167.3 billion in December 2019.

Jaiz Bank shares are listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) and have returned +29.1 percent in the past year, compared to a -9.9 percent return for the broader market.

The stock closed trading at N0.54 per share on Wednesday for a market capitalization of N15.9 billion.

Jaiz is a non-interest bank. It is the first non-interest bank established in Nigeria and is headquartered in Abuja.
