An insider at Zenith Bank of Nigeria has purchased 578,574 shares ahead of second quarter 2020 earnings results due any minute from now.

The shares were purchased by Oyewusi Ibidapo-Obe, a non-executive director at the bank at an average price of N15.35 per share on 15 May 2020, according to a filing on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE).

Zenith Bank is trading at a dividend yield of 17.1 percent and closed trading at N16.35 per share on Monday.

Insiders have been snapping up shares in Nigerian Banks as the selloff in equities mean some banking stocks are selling way below book value.
