The Independent National Electoral Commission ( INEC ), has released the time table for the 2023 general election.
According to the umpire, the commencement of campaigns by political parties for Presidential and National Assembly elections are to begin 28th September, 2022.
This was disclosed at the INEC Collation Centre in Kaduna by the Resident Electoral Commissioner, Asmau Sani Maikudi on Wednesday.
According to the time table, the commencement of campaigns by political parties for Governorship and State Assembly elections were scheduled for 12th October, 2022.
In the time table obtained by Money Central, the last day of campaigns by political parties for the Presidential and National Assembly elections is to end midnight; Thursday 23rd February, 2023.
” Last day of campaign by political parties for the Governorship and State Assembly elections are scheduled to end on the 9th of March, 2023,” INEC disclosed.
The REC also explained that the Continuous Voter Registration is on – going at the State Headquarters and the 23 Local Government Area across the state.
“The CVR exercise in the LGA has been given extra attention with the deployment of additional staff and machines to assist in the concluding part of the 3rd Quarter and the commencement of the 4th Quarter as scheduled in the electoral calendar,” the REC explained.
