The gubernatorial candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Comrade Joseph Ewuga, has promised to empower youths and women and also create enabling environment for agricultural activities to strive in order to ensure food security, boost economic activities in the state if elected as governor of Nasarawa state come 2023.

The governorship candidate made his plan known at the weekend while flagging off his campaign rally in Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.

Comrade Ewuga, said lack of enabling environment for agriculture activities to strive was a reason behind the hunger in the state and country at large.

Ewuga, explained that if given the opportunity to lead the state in 2023 his administration would prioritize youth empowerment, create job opportunities in all sectors in order to remove jobless youths on the street.

According to him,” APC Promised to change the fortune of this country but they ended up starving Nigerians, bringing poverty, hunger and insecurity in the state and country at large.

He however called on the people of Nasarawa State to vote for all LP candidates in all elective positions in the forthcoming general election.

Earlier in his address the Labour Party chairman Emmanuel Alexander, said there was no reason for voting APC into power again in view of the current situation Nigerians have found themselves in.

LP Chairman, who explained that members of the campaign council are men, women and youths, cautioned them to support the Labour Party and caution the party loyalists against sabotaging the efforts of the party in the forthcoming general election.

He called on the party’s supporters to come en-mass to vote for all LP candidates both presidential, national Assembly, governorship and state’s Assembly candidates in the forthcoming general election in the state.

High point of the flag-off was the handing over of LP flag to the governorship candidate, Comrade Ewuga by the state party chairman Emmanuel Alexander.
