Northern group under the auspices of Arewa Solidarity Group (ASG), has backed the economic plan of the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The group said, Tinubu’s blueprint on economy would not only improve the economy of the nation but, also will boost the living standard of the citizens. The leader of the group, Isa Ahmed asserted this during a press conference in Kaduna on Thursday.
“Just like Tinubu had said, our major economic challenges are underinvestment and effective management, and these are what he should be looking at, if emerged as the president of the nation come 2023,” the group said.
Ahmed said that such is achievable, in view of building indivisible values of patriotism, equity, justice and brotherhood.
Tinubu had reiterated that under his leadership, the Nigerian government will be business-friendly, adding that he will support private businesses in the country and attract foreign direct investment to create jobs.
According to Tinubu, if elected, he will re-industrialised the country and accelerate economic development.
While calling on Nigerians to support Tinubu’s presidential ambition, the leader of the group noted that the APC candidate’s economic blueprint will promote businesses in sectors like banking, telecommunication industry, amongst others.
