Ahead of the 2023 general elections, the Nasarawa State chapter of the People’s Democratic party, PDP Campaigns Director, Labaran Maku Tuesday blamed the All Progressive Congress, APC for 7years wasteful governance in Nasarawa State.

This is even as he has asked governor Abdullahi Sule to commence evacuation of his belongings out of the government House.

Maku who said PDP is ready and prepared to rescue and salvage Nigerians from insecurity, poverty, among other social vices confronting the country, asked voters in Nasarawa to vote out APC in 2023 to restore peace, take the state out of poverty, amongst other issues.

Speaking at the commencement of its campaign rally in Toto Local Government Area of the state, the Director general of the PDP campaigns Council, said Nigerians were overwhelmed with the hardship under the ruler of APC.

The former Information minister who cited insecurity, kidnapping, banditry, high cost of living occasioned by bad governance maintained that voting PDP into power in 2023 would bring an end to all the crisis.

“Nigerians have been thrown into crisis due to the total failure to provide the basic needs of the people 7years after there are also issues of kidnapping, banditry and other security threats. We cannot continue like this.

“In 2023, we should vote for only credible leaders who we can hold accountable, and I can assure you that the candidates of the People’s Democratic Party are ready to serve. So, you all should give them your votes in order to ensure the speedy growth and development of our dear Nasarawa state.

“On December 8, 2022, our presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar will be coming to Lafia, the state capital. I am also urging every one of us who have been yearning for a better Nigeria, to come out en masse and welcome him to the state. We believe in his leadership qualities and by God’s grace, he will be our next president in 2023.”

On his part, the PDP governorship candidate, David Ombugadu, vowed to ensure that the 13 LGAs of the state experience rapid development if he is voted into office in 2023.

He said, “I have great plans for this state. All I need is your support in the coming governorship election. Our dear state is lacking behind in all sectors. I will develop the 13 LGAs if I am given the opportunity. So, give me your votes in 2023 and I promise not to disappoint you.”

Earlier, the State PDP Chairman, Francis Orogu, expressed gratitude to stakeholders and residents of Toto LGA for always supporting the party, while assuring that all promises made to the people will be fulfilled if its candidates are voted into office in 2023.
