500 Teenage Girls Have Benefited From Adamu Atiku’s Foundation As Hygiene Kits Where Distributed

Over 500 teenager girl’s has benefited from the distribution of hygiene kits as the world celebrates Menstrual Hygiene Day.

Paulash Community Development Initiative in collaboration with Adamu Atiku foudation has distributed adolescent hygiene kits to teenager girls containing sanitary towels,toothpaste,toothbrush,shaving sticks, powder,body spray and bathing soap.

The world menstruation hygiene day (MHD) was originated in the year 2015 by WASH United a Non Governmental Organisation in Germany.

Adamawa state was not left out in the celebration as the world marks the MHD. The Adamu Atiku Foundation in collaboration with the Paulash Community Development Initiative as they sensitized secondary school girls on personal hygiene while menstruating.

They seized the opportunity to educate the girls on how to take proper care of themselves while menstruating.

Students at the Ladi Atiku Government Girls Day Secondary School Yola where overwhelmed with joy as the Adamu Atiku foundation surprised them with dignity kits.

While lecturing, the girls where thought how to use sanitary towels,how to constantly take their bathe when mensturating and to keep clean.

Speaking at the sensitization the resource person for the day Charity Anaja a gender advocate took advantage of the lecture to advice the student to take their academic seriously as mensuration is part of healthy growth.

While adressing the girls the gender advocate stressed on the need of parents to educate their girl child on mensural hygiene.

Lending her voice in the sensitization Miss Grace Togor Passa representing Adamu Abubakar Foundation told the girls that their education is vital as hygiene is also a holistic approach.

She added that personal hygiene while menstruating is key.And also mensuration should not be reasons for them to be absent from school as their Academic is key.

Some of the students who benefited from the free distribution loudly applauded Adamu Atiku foundation for the hygiene kits given to them.

They also appreciate the Tutor’s for the sensitization stating that their understanding on menstrual hygiene has being broadened.
