The Adamawa State Police Command has paraded no fewer than 38 suspects including a female apprehended in connection to various crimes.
Hajaratu Sanni, a 58 years old woman while speaking to the press, admitted being guilty of culpable homicide as she narrated how she hit her husband’s lover with a stick in anger.
A gang of three also confessed breaking into a POS shop at old market in Jimeta and stealing 7 million naira. They broke through the shop and made away with the money by 12am,the leader of the group attested that the money was judiciously shared between the three of them.
Some items recovered from the suspects include; AK 47 Rifle, 1 Magazine, 7 Live Ammunitions, 1 locally fabricated Pistol, 1 burnt Tricycle (Keke Napep). Others are; 3 sets of laptops, 1 Woofer sets, 1 DVD Set, 1 Stabilizer, 8 GSM handsets, YEDC prepaid Metre remote, Indian Hemp, Hard drugs, 2 Knives, Multiples Sets of SIM & M card and Set of Cottons/Bed sheet.
According to the Command, the suspects were apprehended in connection to kidnapping activities, arm robbery, rape, culpable homicide among others. CP Akande speaking while parading the suspects at the police headquarters, said that the suspects were nabbed following the renewed commitment of the Command in fighting crime.
“It is my pleasure to invite you today, being Tuesday, 9/8/2022 at the State Police Command and present to you the recent tremendous achievements recorded by the Command during the week under review,” CP Akande said.
He appreciated the government and people of the state for their continued support to the Command, he also called on people to stay away from crime as there will be no space for any criminal in the state. The CP also assured the people that all suspects will be diligently prosecuted after intense investigation is made.
