After two years of stewardship, the Honorable Speaker of Adamawa State House of Assembly has returned to appreciate the people of his Uba Gaya Constituency.
The Speaker, Aminu Iya-Abbas, on Saturday donated 23 cars to youths, 5 ambulances and medical consumables to primary health care clinics, and cash gifts of N5,000 each to 600 vulnerable women.
While celebrating the June 12 Democracy Day, the speaker said he returned to appreciate the people of Uba-Gaya for the victory they gave him at election and the loyalty he has continued to enjoy from them.
In his remark, Mahia local government chairman Alhaji Idi Amin commended the efforts of the speaker, saying that insecurity can be subdued if the people decide to come together, forgetting religious and ethic differences.
Some of the beneficiaries greatly applauded the Speaker of the House of Assembly for his gesture.
They said that the ambulances will aid the clinics in the constituency, knowing that pregnant woman in labour will not have to suffer the stress of reaching the clinics on their own.
