Akpabio’s Associates Put Smiles On Widows, IDPs, Others In Kaduna

Bags of rice being distributed to thousands of residents in kaduna by Associates of Senator Godswill Akpabio

No fewer than one thousand residents of Kaduna have benefitted from the 25kg of rice distributed by the Associates of Senator Godswill Akpabio under the auspices of Senator Godswill Akpabio for Common Good, (SGAC).

Each beneficiary who were drawn from the less privileged, widows and Internally Displaced Persons, (IDPs) got 25kg bag of rice.

The National Coordinator of the group, Jubril Tafida, also disclosed
that the beneficiaries were drawn from three communities of Angwar Dosa, Angwar Sanusi and Nasarawa in Kaduna North and Chikun Local Government Areas of the state respectively.

According to Tafida, the exercise is taking place in three states of the federation; Katsina, Kano and Kaduna.

A beneficiary, 45y.o father of ten children, Mal. Lawal Saleh, a resident of Hayin Banki community, who thanked the group said he was so elated to have partaken in the exercise.

According to him, “Yesterday, my family did not cook because we hto nothing at home, but today, Insha Allah my children and I will all dance. I can’t expressed my appreciation enough to this group.”

Saleh called on well meaning Nigerians emulate the kind gesture of SGACG who today has touched the lives of people in the state; and urged the group to extend the gesture to Nigerians.

In the same vein, 52 y.o Maryam Mukhtar, who was over joyed, said; “the gift has gladdened her heart,” and prayed God to blessed and increased the group.

Malama Mukhtar who is a widow having lost her husband in 2014, leaving her with seven children said life has not be easy for her and the children. She said her source of livelihood is through selling of firewood outside her home.

“It was yesterday I prayed to God for divine provisions, and I didn’t know He has already heard my prayer. I am so happy,” she said.
