Following the attack by suspected political thugs on APC campaign in Zamfara state, a group under the aegis of Advocacy for Good Governance, has strongly condemned such violent attacks in the state.

The group who frowned at the attack that disrupted the All Progressives Congress (APCs) presidential campaign in the State last Monday, accused the opposition in the state of being behind such an act.

The group expressed displeasure over the attack while addressing a press conference in Abuja at the weekend.

While calling on Zamfara state government and other security agencies in the state to bring to book those behind the attack, the leader of the group, Muhammed Abdullahi also warned that politicians in the state should adhere and abide by the rules of the game.

The group however, said that the oppositions in the state had ulterior motives, knowing fully that the Matawalle’s led-administration is already in the heart of the people of the state.

“As a responsible group, with the mandate to promote good governance in Nigeria, we are adequately aware of the Midas’ touch of the Matawalle led-administration in the state within his short period of leadership,” the group said.

This is just as the leader of the group urged all the political actors in the state to sensitise their followers on issue based campaigns and not attack on one another.

Meanwhile, the Zamfara state governor Bello Mattawalle has promised to bring to book the alleged attackers that disrupted the All Progressives Congress (APCs) presidential campaign in the State last Monday.
