An Arewa group under the aegis of Arewa Solidarity Group (ASG), has tipped the Governor of Kwara state, AbdulRahaman AbdulRasaq on fiscal transparency and accountability in public resource management.
The group equally applauded the Governor on efficiency of Public expenditure, Domestic Revenue Mobilization in the state within 42 months of his administration.
The group stated this in a statement made available to Money Central on Wednesday in Kaduna.
According to the statement signed by the leader of the group, Isa Ahmed, disclosed that the fiscal transparency and accountability of the AbdulRahaman led administration was due to his political will and determination of the Governor to reform and reposition the state’s public finance management structure.
“Gov. AbdulRasaq is a blessing to the Kwara state and its people, and this is the reason why the good people of Kwara state must not make a mistake of the past by returning looters to power come 2023.
“It is obvious that within the space of AbdulRasaq’s administration, the state can now favourably compete with other states with the mark of good governance in the country. This is a sign that the state is moving in the right direction of economic stability and growth,” the statement noted.
The group therefore urged the Kwarans to rally round AbdulRasaq’s administration and return him to power in the forthcoming election to continue with his good work that he has already started.
