The Commissioner of Police, Benue State Command, CP Wale Abass orders a special deployment as part of preparation for the end of year celebrations.

The police commissioner therefore directed all Area Commanders, Tactical commanders and Divisional Police Officers to deploy officers in accordance with the “Ember Months” operation order that has specified hot spots, exit and entry routes as well as crowded places.

A statement signed by the command’s Public Relations Officer, Sewusese Anene, quotes the CP as ordering officers to strengthen enforcement of the ban on the use of Spy Number plates by the Inspector General of Police.

He said only vehicles with factory fitted tinted glasses will be allowed to ply the roads and warned drivers who create tinted glasses are by this notice to remove the tint material as enforcement will not spare any person.

According to the statement, officers carrying out these duties have been warned to be cautious and very professional in the course of duty so as to avoid friction with members of the public.
