The Senator representing Benue North East, Gabriel Suswam and his family have congratulated Governor Samuel Ortom on his 61st birthday celebration.
A statement signed by his media Aide, Batholomew Bede, quoted the former governor and the great people of Zone ‘A’ as wishing the governor good health, King Solomon’s wisdom, God’s guidance, and protection and many more happy returns, and best wishes always as he marks his day.
Also, the Speaker of Benue State House of Assembly, Mr. Titus Uba and former Chief of Staff, Pastor Terwase Orbunde have joined other well meaning Nigerians to felicitate with the Executive Governor of Benue State, Dr Samuel Ortom, on the occasion of his 61st birthday celebration.
The Speaker described the Governor as a courageous, selfless and focused Leader who inspite of challenges including, threat to his life, has remained resilient and outspoken against attempts by oppressors to undermine the People’s statutory rights as Nigerians.
“You have over the years shown strong leadership by standing firm in defence of your people despite verbal and physical assault on your person and government by unscrupulous elements who are only out to create unrest and destabilize our State and Country, ” he said.
He commendef the Governor for ensuring a sustained cordial relationship between the executive and legislative arms of the State Government.
While calling on Benue people to continue to offer support and prayers for the Chief Executive, the State number one lawmaker also prays God to continue to imbue the Governor with more wisdom, courage and strength to continue to offer selfless services to his fatherland and also grant him fulfillment in his Senatorial bid.
Similarly, Pastor Orbunde, in a statement on behalf of his family, friends, supporters and political associates, expressed gratitude to God for his blessings on the life of the Governor that have sustained and made him victorious over challenges all these years.
The former Chief of Staff prayed that God would continue to grant Governor Ortom good health, wisdom, guidance, protection and direction to execute his counsel over Benue State as well as continuing to play vital roles in nation building.
