Bishop Dami Mamza Celebrates 25 Years of Impact as a Priest

The Bishop of Catholic Diocese Yola who doubled as CAN chairman Adamawa State Most Rev Dr Stephen Dami Mamza has celebrated his 25th year of priestly ordination.

Bishop Dami Mamza celebrated his15years ordination as priest and 10th year of episcopal ordination having the presence of Cardinal John Onainyekan gracing the occasion alongside Bishops of other dioceses across Nigeria.

Cardinal John Onaiyekan appreciated the good works of Most Rev Steven Dami Mamza for the past 10years he has been ordained as a Bishop.

He added that Bishop Mamza was directly affected by the insurgency’ and he has been reaching out to countless persons.

The cardinal applauded the bishop for accommodating the internally displaced persons (IDPs) for the past 7yrs in the cathedral and also for the building of the new estate for 85 households with a mosque, church school and order necessary amenities.

The Governor of Adamawa state, Rt Honorable Ahmedu Umaru Fintiri appreciated the Bishop for his unending humanitarian service to the Internally displaced persons in the state.

He also pointed that the bishop is a father to all, both the Christian and Muslim.

Bishop Mathew Kuka, Bishop of the Sokoto diocese in his sermon heartily applauded the bishop for his tireless effort in catering for the IDPs all through the unrest in the state.

Bishop Mamza in his speech applauded the Governor Alhaji Ahmedu Umaru Fintiri , Cardinal John Anaiyekan and every Bishop present for the occasion.
