CBN Promises Five Thousand Jobs for Nasarawa Residents

The Central Bank of Nigeria said its intervention into the earth Dam in Doma local government area of Nasarawa state would create five thousand jobs for residents.

The Special Adviser to the Central Bank Governor on Development Finance, Anthony Ifechukwu disclosed this to Newsmen while inspecting the project recently.

The visit which is a follow up by the Apex Bank is to inspect facilities at the project so as to allow it look into  areas that would uplift the state economy.

Mr. Anthony Ifechukwu who described the Dam as a national asset that can be exploited for the benefit of the country however noted that the water body which is sixteen-kilometer-long will be utilized for Agriculture and Tourism amongst others.

Earlier, the Chief Executive Officer, Nasarawa Investment and Development Agency Ibrahim Abdullahi said the present administration remains committed to exploring all avenues to ensure the state develops in all ramifications.

He stressed that the state government will continue to partner investors and leverage on CBN interventions to realize its industrialization policy.
