Central Bank of Nigeria Makurdi Building Gutted By Fire

Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), in Makurdi the Benue state capital was at the early hours of Thursday gutted by mysterious fire that razed the house hosting the standby plant.

It was gathered that the fire incident started at about 7 o’clock before men of the fire service were alerted.

There is no official position on the course of the outbreak, and security men were drafted to the scene and maintaining law and order there.

It was gathered that the outbreak did not affect the main building even as staff coming to work were seen lamenting over the incident.

However, a passerby, said the outbreak may have started from the power house in which no management staff was on ground to speak over the incident.

When our correspondent put a call to the Police Public Relations Officer for Benue State Police Command, Superintendent of Police, Catherine Anene, such was not returned at the time of filing this report.
