Emir of Zazzau, Amb. Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli has called for intellectual overhauling of the educational policies.

The Emir said, the need for realignment of the educational policies to meet current realities can not be over emphasized.

Bamalli expressed this during the visit of the Kaduna State Project Implementation Unit of the Adolescent Girls Initiative for Learning and Empowernment (AGILE) to the palace in Zaria recently.

He noted that the frequent changes of policies that do not meet the realities of life only encourage educational stagnant and backwardness.

While speaking, the Emir said that the recent policy that changed from junior and senior secondary education to lower basic to upper basic classes as well as the issuance of primary and junior secondary school certificates as a distortion to educational development.

Bamalli further said that most of the policies on education are continuously changing without benefiting from its effects.

Speaking on girlchild education, the Emir frowned at the level to which career women abandoned their parental care responsibilities in the hands of nannies who according to Emir led to the grooming of bad eggs in the society.
