El-rufai Harps On Improved Harmonious Relationship Between Christians, Muslims

The acting governor of Kaduna state, Hajia Hadiza Sabuwa Balarebe, has reiterated the government’s commitment towards improving harmonious relationship between the Christians and Muslims in the state.

She noted that Kaduna state was known to be a city for all without distinction between the two faiths; Islam and Christianity.

The acting governor who was represented by the Commissioner for Planning and Budget Commission, Umma Yusuf Aboki, during the 2022 Post-Hajj review exercise, assured of the state’s efforts towards creating an atmosphere for a united state.

” We live as one happy family and that is what we want to continue to promote in the state,” the acting governor said.

The Commissioner, while speaking commended the Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency for creating an avenue for the review of the 2022 Hajj exercise.

” The review of the Post-Hajj exercise is to identify the successes, challenges and failure of the exercise and profer solutions to the identified challenges if any; and to consolidate on the successes.”

Earlier, in his welcome address, the Executive Secretary of the agency, Yusuf Arrigasiyyu, disclosed that the forum is to get feedback from the stakeholders, especially on the areas where the exercise failed.

The Executive Secretary explained that the agency processed 2,489 pilgrims for the 2022 Hajj exercise as against the 2,591 allocated to the state.

According to him, about 101 pilgrims were not airlifted due to some external problems relating to Visa.

On the success of the exercise, Arrigasiyyu further said that all responsibilities of the agency were discharged to the pilgrims, adding that no record of missing luggages, just as he also said that the exercise was hitch-free.
