A former Labour Party governorship candidate in Nasarawa state in the 2023 governorship election, Joseph Ewuga has lauded the invaluable contributions of workers in Nasarawa state and Nigeria to the growth and development of the country.
Ewuga called on the government of Nasarawa state to ensure that workers are treated with dignity and respect and provided with decent working conditions, fair wages, and job security.
In a message to mark the 2023 Workers’ Day in Lafia, and made available to MoneyCentral, he commended the resilience, dedication, and hard work of both Nasarawa and federal workers, who have continued to drive the economy forward despite the numerous challenges facing the nation.
“I Comrade Joseph Ewuga, LP Governorship Candidate in the 2023 election extends warm greetings to all Nasarawa and National workers on this year’s May Day celebration, I recognize the sacrifices you make daily to ensure that your families and the nation at large have a better future,” Ewuga said.
“Workers should continue to approach their work with diligence, excellence, and integrity, knowing that their labour is not in vain.
“Once again, I congratulate workers on this year’s May Day celebration and urge them to continue to uphold the dignity of labour.”
He assured that LP is committed to working with stakeholders to promote the welfare and well-being of Nigerian workers and will continue to advocate for policies and programmes that will enhance their productivity, skills, and job opportunities.
