Former Minister of Water Resources, Alhaji Mukhtari Shehu Shagari, has joined the league of well-wishers congratulating former Vice President and PDP flagbearer for the 2023 Presidential election, Atiku Abubakar.
Shagari, in a congratulatory message he addressed to Atiku Abubakar (Waziri Adamawa) wrote, “It is with joy that I, on behalf of myself, family and associates congratulate you on your victory and election as the presidential candidate and flagbearer of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, for the forthcoming presidential elections next year.
“Having worked closely with you in the past, I have no doubt that you are well equipped and have the capacity to assiduously tackle the numerous challenges facing our dear nation presently.
“As a true democrat that you are, I believe that your love for Nigeria will spur you to reconcile the fractured and broken pillars of love and unity among the citizenry bringing back the good days and prosperity of our people when you are elected the President and Commander-In-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Insha Allah.”
Recalled that the former Minister, who is hitherto, the leading gubernatorial aspirant in Sokoto state, is presently at logger head with Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, over the consensus arrangement that threw up his ex-SSG, Mallam Sa’idu Umar, as PDP gubernatorial candidate.
