Taraba State Governor, Arc Darius Dickson Ishaku has promised to offer quality representation if he gets elected into the senate in 2023.
Gov Ishaku who spoke at a ceremony in Jalingo where the nomination and expression of interest forms for the PDP senatorial ticket purchased for him by a coalition of political stakeholders made up of women, youths and community leaders from the zone was presented to him said he accepted to vie for the senatorial seat in Southern Taraba to give the zone purposeful representation.
He said politics is about service to the people and noted that it would be insensitive of him to refuse the call by all sections of the the political stakeholders in Southern Taraba to represent them in the senate.
He said as governor, he has been fulfilled, having recorded immense achievements in education, health, agriculture, infrastructure development including roads and the provision of water. ” I’m proud of what my administrative has been able to achieve in these seven years. I’m an example of a leader who came, who saw and who conquered,”, he said.
He urged Tarabans to pray for God to bring up the person that will take over from him as governor and who would be prepared to build on the achievements recorded by his administration.
He assured the people of Southern Taraba that he would not disappoint them as their Senator.
