Gov. Matawalle’s Meeting With ECOWAS Bank Is For Economic Development, Says Arewa Group

Socioeconomic group in the north under the aegies of the Advocacy for Good Governance in Nigeria, has the described the move by the Zamfara state Governor, Bello Matawalle to meet with the ECOWAS Bank as the right step for economic development.

The said that the step would in no small measures help to the state economy for the benefit of the citizenry.

The group in a statement signed by its leader, Muhammed Abdullahi on Friday further explained that the economy policies of the Matawalle’s led administration has attracted the positive interest of ECOWAS Bank for investment and development in the state.

According to Abdullahi in the statement obtained by Money Central, considered the working relationship between the ECOWAS Bank and Zamfara state government as an agreement that will create a mutual economic interests.

The group however commended the governor for the opportunities offered to ensuring that the bank makes its presence in the state.

” Since the assumption of office, it is obvious that Matawalle led administration has prioritised security and economy as its most top agenda that will eventually create enabling environment for other sectors to survive.

” It is no longer news that Governor Matawalle is focused, firm and determined to take the state to an eviable position going by his show of administrative skills in the last 40 months in office,” the group emphasised.
