Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State says efforts are on top to construct Panda-Gitata road in the state with Mpape in the federal capital territory.

Governor Sule made this known during his meeting with the electorates of Panda Development Area in Karu Local Government.

He said when he saw the level of dilapidation of the road before his election in 2019, he took it upon himself that if elected he will ensure that the road is brought to good shape.

According to Governor Sule “the condition in which our vehicles went through while passing the road before my election in 2019 nearly spoiled some of the vehicles on our convoy. After assuming office I made sure that the federal government took over the road and they promised to construct it to link it with Mpape in FCT.”

He said even before the federal government commenced the construction of the road his administration has graded the road to ease the movement of people on the road pending its construction by the federal government.

He maintained that he will continue to follow up to the federal government to construct the road as promised in order to bring more development to the area.

Governor Sule who said he was in the area to solicit for the support of his reelection from the people of the area also said among the projects his administration did in the area is the road that links Karikari to Adon Kasa.

He further said a substantial number of Youths and women from the area and other parts of the state are currently benefiting from his administration from different empowerment schemes as he promised that one thousand primary school teachers would soon be employed by his government and deployed to their area of origin.

Governor Sule while appreciating the people of the area for supporting him during the 2019 election cautioned them against politics of religion or any form of sentiment.

He said “this is the time that some politicians will come to you and ask to vote for this, not the other candidate, when they come to you also ask them when they were holding political appointments what development have they brought to even their immediate communities to convince you.”

He said anywhere he went in the state he is able to showcase the number of projects he brought to the people which is the reason he is seeking reelection to continue and consolidate on the achievements so far.

Earlier, state Chairman of All Progressive Congress John Mamman challenged people of the area to reciprocate the APC administration on the projects carried out for their benefit and cautioned them not to make mistakes to vote for candidates that take them back in terms of development.

He said Governor Sule means well for the people of the state as he always gives priority to areas of education, health, agriculture and human development among.

He told the people of Panda that “nobody should come and deceive them with politics of religion because Governor Sule has been doing everything possible to better the life of the State Residents,” Mamman added.
