Governor Ortom Signs Benue 2022 Supplementary Budget of N75.11 billion

Benue state governor, Samuel Ortom has acceded to the 2022 supplementary budget of N75.11 billion.

The supplementary budget is to cover capital expenditure of up to December of the year ending.

Performing the ceremony at the Benue People’s House Makurdi, the governor also unveiled a law, Benue Ecosystem he earlier accented to, signifying the take-off of the state Bureau of Statistics.

He said the supplementary budget was submitted to Benue state house of assembly ahead of presentation of the 2023 appropriation bill which has been the practice of the administration whenever such needs arose.

The governor commended the legislature for giving the supplementary appropriation bill accelerated hearing and passage into law and appealed for the same gesture to be extended to the 2023 appropriation bill before them.

Earlier, the Deputy Speaker, Mr Chris Adaji presented the supplementary budget to the governor for emphasis, saying the bill will enable the government to carry out state duties and fulfill its promises to the people of the state during campaigns.
