A Northern socioeconomic group under the auspices of Arewa Solidarity Group, has hailed the Kwara state government over its foresight towards investing in Cashew processing business in the state.

Addressing a press conference in Kaduna at the weekend, the group explained that such an initiative will boost the economy of the state and improve the living standard of the people.

According to the leader of the group, Isa Ahmed explained that Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq led administration has performed excellently well, especially in the area of creating a conducive environment for business opportunities.

He urged the Governor to continue to invest in local industries, especially where the state has comparative advantages.

While speaking, the leader of the group, also explained that by assessment of the group, in terms of infrastructure, the state is truly gradually opening up Kwara with road projects.

The group also commended the Kwara state government on the Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP).

“As a group, we are aware that despite the challenges of resources, AbdulRahman’s government has demonstrated to be a government with the can-do-spirit towards providing good governance to the good people of the state,” the leader of the group said.

Ahmed however, explained that long-time neglect cannot just be covered under three and a half years.

He therefore called on the good people of Kwara state to sustain their support for the AbdulRasaq led administration.
