Nasarawa Residents Score Gov. Sule High in Road Construction, Calls for His Re-Election

A cross section of residence in the southern senatorial district of Nasarawa state have commended Governor Abdullahi Sule, for constructing over seven roads from the area to salvage them from precarious situation as they called for his continuity beyond 2023.

The locals who were happy for the kind gesture said the award of contract to over seven roads in the Five local governments of Doma, Keana, Awe, Obi and Lafia local government areas when completed would boost the social economy aspect and improve the security situation in the state.

This was made known to our correspondent during the recent good governance tour carried out by media professionals in the zone.

While in Doma, to inspect the Idadu, Agbashi 24 kilometers surface dressing road, the site Engr. “Road and Bridge International Nig Ltd,” Engr. Musa Mohammed said the company is doing her best to see that the road is completed within the time frame despite the natural problem “the rain” but promised to resume work after the rain.

“We are able to build culverts and the dressing aspect, the major obstacle is rain, the natural problem that cannot be avoided since we are in the season,” he pointed out.

Interacting with the locals, Daniel Abas, who hails from Agbashi town lauded Governor Sule, over the road construction said it would in no small measure assist their transportation of farm products to Rukubi and Lafia respectively.

Our Correspondent also interacted with Bridget Akaa, who commended Engr. AA Sule’s administration said it has salvaged them from abject poverty as before now, perishable foods were not produced in the area for lack of good roads but now they produced tomatoes, watermelon among others in large quantities without fear of perishing, called for his continuity.

Keana LGA, as the Keana Abuni road which was awarded by Governor Sule, took advance level, our correspondent interacted with one Abdulbas Ibrahim, and he said, “We thank the state Governor, Engr..A A Sule, for the kind gesture, before now we suffered to convey farm produce home but now that the road is under construction, it eases our transportation problem.”

On his part, Zuzu Clement, called for early completion of the project to enable security operatives in the LG response to emergency calls where necessary.

Similarly, our reporter visited the road project in Obi and Awe, LG areas as the Adudu Ribi road, the site Engr. Elias Esokky, said the contract is for the upgrade of the road as removing of the surface and filling was in progress.

Interacting with the road users, Mayange Jude, happly said Alhaji Sule has satisfied them by the gesture. “Democracy is already playing its part. The road will be used by the present generation and beyond, on earth we shall re-elect him in the 2023 election, pray for God to reward him abundantly.

Lucy Saaior from Jangwa in Awe LGA, lauded the state Governor for the road elevation, availing that it has connected almost all the towns and villages from that area and said with the presence of the road, their standard for living has greatly improved.

In the same vein the Obi Assakior road and Ashupe, Ome Atabura road were under construction.

When contacted, one of the locals, John Agidi, said that the road would greatly assist their well-being when completed, he therefore called on the state Governor Alhaji Abdulahi Sule, to Intimate the contractor to moblise on site as it has been abandoned for a while.

In Lafia the state capital, two township roads, the Graveyard Angwan Sharele road were also visited even as the contractors were not on site, our correspondent reliably gathered that work has reached advanced stage.

Mohammed Ogoshi, Hafsat Mohammed and Mohammed Awal Adamu both thanked the state Governor for reviving the hope of residence from where the roads are sited as many people relocated their houses occasioned by the deplorable condition of the road appreciated governor Sule for coming to their aid.
