Northern Group Salutes Gov. Matawalle’s Over Plan to Implement N30,000 Minimum Wage

Northern socioeconomic group under the aegis of Advocacy for Good Governance in Nigeria, has saluted the move by the Zamfara state Governor, Bello Matawalle to implement the N30.000 minimum wage in the state.

The group expressed its satisfaction following the announcement made by the state government through the Head of Service, Zamfara state that the lingering issue between the government and labour unions concerning the national minimum wage would soon be resolved.

The leader of the group, Muhammed Abdullahi in a statement appealed to the state government and the labour unions to work harmoniously for the benefit of the state.

In the statement made available to newsmen on Wednesday, the group explained that the Matawalle led administration has proven to be the people’s governor, and that this has earned him more respect amongst the civil servants in the state.

The leader of the group urged the governor not to relent in his efforts towards ensuring that his administration puts smiles on the good people of Zamfara state.

The group sought for the civil servants support in ensuring the speedy implementation of the N30,000 minimum wage.

Abdullahi therefore called on the citizens of the state to always provide their support to the government and not to allow themselves to be used against the government.
