The Executive Chairman National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA) Dr. Faisal Shuaib has presented a comprehensive vision and sense of direction for the new executives of Lafia old Student Association (LOSA). Dr. Faisal was recently elected the president of LOSA alongside other members of the exco.
In his presentation, the LOSA president itemized the strategic vision for the administration which include, Alma mater infrastructural upgrade, Capacity enhancement, ICT development, Scholarship for students, Health insurance for students, encouragement of academic competition for students, LOSA cooperative society, Empowerment for Association members, Services and product patronage amongst members.
Speaking at an inaugural executive’s mini retreat held in Abuja, Dr. Faisal thanked all the executives for finding time to attend the retreat while calling on them to be ready to set the ground running as there is no time to waste.
In a statement by the Public Relations Officer of the association, Barnabas Anyam says the Retreat which was for three days had participants arrive on Friday, 3-12-2021 and depart Sunday, 5-12-2021. Saturday 4th was dedicated to deliberation and intense discussion on chatting the way forward.
The executives after an exhaustive deliberation on the laid down vision came up with plans on achieving the vision, one of which was the setting up of various committees with Terms of Reference.
The committee set up include, committee on Standard of Education, ICT Laboratory set up, Fund raising, welfare, communication/extracurricular activities, and infrastructure and utilities.
The committee has 2 weeks to report back to the executives.
