Oil Tanker Accident Creates Traffic Gridlock in Yola

A major traffic gridlock has engulfed the Mai Doki roundabout and it’s vicinity in Yola North local government area of Adamawa State as a petrol tanker fell spilling its contents.

The incident took place early monday morning although this paper could not independently ascertain the cause of the accident.

The accident according to eyewitnesses led to instant fire outbreak which consumed nearby makeshift shops in the vicinity.

When reporters visited the scene, firefighters from many organisations were seen putting heads together to stop the raging inferno which had completely destroyed the fuel tank.

Meanwhile efforts by firefighters, policemen and men of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) are geared towards addressing the immediate bedlam caused by the accident.
