Ortom Salutes Makinde, Akume on Their Birthdays

Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, on behalf of the Government and people of the State, has sent warm felicitations to Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State and the Minister of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs, George Akume on the occasion of their birthday celebrations.

Governor Makinde turned 54 on December 25th, 2021while Akume is marking his 68th birthday on Monday, 27th December, 2021.

He says the contributions of Governor Makinde to nation-building are exemplary given his experience as a successful business man, to his current performance as the Governor of the ancient Oyo State.

The Governor says he is happy to see Governor Makinde deploy his experience in transforming Oyo State using Agri-Business and Technology in rebuilding its capacity to provide for the basic needs of its people.

According to governor Ortom, Makinde has inspired leadership through his achievements in agriculture, sports,  infrastructure and education as well as many infrastructure projects in the state.

The Governor prays that God’s blessings and wisdom continue to rest on Governor Makinde whom he described as an embodiment of humility and selflessness as he joins forces with other PDP leaders in the country to rescue an ailing Nigeria from the hands of undertakers whose leadership has left the country bleeding.

“As Governor Makinde celebrates his birthday, may the favor of God Almighty rest upon him, his family and the people of Oyo State now and always.”

In a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Nathaniel Ikyur, governor Ortom also sends warm regards to the Minister of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs, Senator George Akume on his 68th birthday.

He prays that God will continue to guide and direct Senator Akume as he discharges his responsibilities to the State and the nation.

“The Governor uses this occasion to ask all patriotic Benue State citizens and indeed Nigeria, to take time to pray for all categories of leaders in the country so that God’s blessings and wisdom will continue to rest upon them, now and always as they serve the country.”

The statement coats the governor as wishing the Minister a pleasant birthday celebration and prosperous new year ahead.
