The Kaduna State Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Felix Hassan Hyat has said that despite the issuance of Certificate Of Return to the All Progressive Congress (APC), his party will reclaim the mandate of the people through court.

According to him, while briefing the press in Kaduna on Friday, Hyat alleged that there were massive election malpractices that bedeviled the polls.

The Chairman of the party also disclosed that the governor-elect, Sen. Uba Sani is only holding the certificate in trust for the PDP.

“By the time we are done with our case in the tribunal, he will hand over the certificate.

“Our determination to retrieve the people’s mandate through legal processes, starting with Application for Review of the Elections to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) National Headquarters, outcome of which is being awaited.”

“We challenge the INEC to leave the above board and avoid partisanship as a supposedly independent body and do her work according to its constitutional mandate, as an umpire in election matters of our dear country.

“The PDP expresses dismay at the Independent Electoral Commission, INEC, that allowed itself to be a willing tool in short changing the people of Kaduna State. It is, to say the least, despicable,” Hyat said.

Meanwhile, the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC has issued Certificate of Return to the Kaduna State Governor Elect, Senator Uba sani and his Deputy, Dr Hadiza Balarabe and other members of the State House of Assembly.

Speaking shortly after receiving the Certificate, Uba Sani assured that every Part of the State would enjoy the dividend of Democracy.

While soliciting the support and cooperation of all citizens, he further said: ” either you voted for me or not you will be given a sense of belonging irrespective of religion, ethic and political affiliation.

Uba Sani also promised to achieve his Seven Point Agenda which includes Safety and Security, upgrade of Infrastructure, Strengthening of Institutions, Trade and Investment, Agriculture, Investment in Human Capital Development among others.

The governor-elect who commended INEC for its dedication and commitment in the discharge of its duties, also appreciated Security Agencies for maintaining Law and Order during the election.
