Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly Abok Ayuba has said the legislature shall ensure that the 2022 budget of the State  shall capture the welfare of the girl child.
Mr. Abok stated Tuesday in Jos, when the Commissioner, Nigeria Girl Child Association NGCA, Plateau State Chapter, Mrs. Judith Fidelis, paid him a courtesy call at his office.
He revealed that Plateau Assembly attached importance to the girl child and that motions have been moved and passed in the floor of the house for the well-being of the girl child.
Mr. Abok informed the group that Plateau legislature shall soon enact laws for the well-being of the girl child in the state.
Earlier, the state Commissioner, Nigeria Girl Child Association NGCA, Plateau State Chapter, Mrs. Judith Fidelis, had informed the Speaker that NGCA shall provide seventeen thousand menstrual pads; 1000 pads each to the 17 Council Areas for the girl child.
According to her, Girls in Plateau state will soon benefit from free menstrual Pads, through the Nigeria Girl Child Association NGCA, across the 17 local government areas.
Mr. Abok had appreciated the gesture offered Plateau girls.
