Police Commence Investigation into Murder Of Keffi Varsity Student

The Police Command in Nasarawa State says it has begun investigation into the alleged murder of a student of Nasarawa State University Keffi (NSUK), Michael Elechi.

ASP Ramhan Nansel, Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state made the disclosure in an interview with Journalists in Lafia.

He said that incident was reported by one Joy Anga, a student of NSUK and resident of same compound with the deceased at Police Station at Angwan Lambo near the university on Feb. 15, around 6:30pm.

“Anga said that she returned from lectures around 5:40pm and saw the gate of their building half open, on entering she found the deceased in a pool of blood,” the police spokesperson added.

ASP Nansel further explained that upon receipt of the report, the police personnel at Angwan Lambo rushed to the scene and took the victim to Federal Medical Centre Keffi where he was confirmed dead.

The PPRO also said that the corpse had been deposited at the hospital’s morgue pending the outcome of the investigation.

He added that the Commissioner of Police (CP) in the state Adesina Soyemi had ordered for an autopsy to unravel the mystery behind the death.

MoneyCentral gathered that the deceased before his death was a final year part-time student of Business Administration Department of Nasarawa State University Keffi.
