A lawmaker at the eight senate who represented Kaduna Central, Senator Shehu Sani, has disclosed that even with the resignation of the erstwhile national chairman of the PDP, Iyorchia Ayu nothing would have changed.

This followed the recent crisis rocking the opposition party; PDP surrounding the removal of Ayu by some members of the party.

Shehu Sani explained on his official twitter handle, explained that nothing would have changed, if the G5 had worked for Atiku, adding that their inability to win elections in their various states is an evidence.

According to Sani, “the fact is that even if Ayu had stepped down before the election, nothing much could have changed because those opposed to him were also struggling to survive and, in the end, could not help themselves much.

“Ayu met the party in the city of Sodom and tried his best and led it to the desert of Gomorrah,” Shehu Sani noted.

Recall that Ayu’s refusal to resign before the election led to the formation of the G5, the group of five governors, who went separate ways for candidates of other parties during the poll.
