Northern group under the aegies of Arewa Solidarity Group ( ASG ), has lauded the Emir of Ilorin and Chairman, Kwara state Council of Chiefs, Alh. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari.
This followed the Emir’s support for the Governor of Kwara state, AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq in his bid to contest in 2023.
The group applauded the Emir in a statement signed by its Chairman, Isa Ahmed and made available to newsmen in Abuja on Monday.
In the statement, Ahmed explained that the Emir’s support for Gov. AbdulRasaq’s continuity is an indication that the Governor has performed very well.
According to the leader of the group, ” the support of the Emir for the Governor would not been posible if the Governor did’nt meet the demand of the Kwarans in the last three years.”
Recall that recently, the Emir said that he would wholeheartedly support the second term bid of Gov. AbdulRasaq as the Governor of Kwara state.
Sulu- Gambari declared publicly that Abdulrazaq had performed wonderfully well and deserved another opportunity to complete his good works.
While commending the support of the Emir and Kwarans for the Governor, the group further explained that Gov. AbdulRasaq has been hardworking, spending more time on the field than in his office.
