The Special Adviser to the Borno State Governor, Umar Babagana Zulum, on State Assembly Matters, Hon, Adamu Haruna Teli, has dislosed that the security situation in the state has improved tremendiously.

He said, the collaboration of Military and other security agencies together with the efforts of tne Zulum’s led administration is in no doubt, improving the security situation of the state.

Teli asserted these in Kaduna at the weekend while addressing Journalists, where he also commended the Federal Government in its support towards ensuring that the state is secured for all and sundry.

He also added that before Zulum comes on board, only three to four local government areas were somehow secured in the whole of the state. ” But today, the insecurity has reduced, because of the commitment of the Governor and the security agencies,” Teli explained.

While applauding the charismatic leadership style of Zulum, Teli further disclosed that Zulum became a Governor of Borno State at a time the state is in dire need of someone like him.

According to the Special Adviser, despite some challenges, the state is almost winning the war, just as he also said that with the improved security and infrastructure in the state, farmers are now gradually returning back to their farmlands.

Though, Teli admitted that the state has not achieved 100 per cent on the insecurity, but saying that much has been achieved, which according to him, the insecurity has been reduced to the bearest minimum.

Said he; ” In most cases, Governor Zulum had sacrificed his life at the expense of his people, because to him, he has no other state than Borno state. He is determined to reposition the state and generally on the security situation, things are getting better and all these wouldn’t have been achieved without the support of President Muhammadu Buhari. Nobody would leave his state to salvage Borno and this is exactly what the Governor has realised and he his relentlessly working towards securing the state. A lot has changed since Governor Zulum assumed office.

“The security are doing their best and administratively the Governor is doing excellently well, we are not saying that we have achieved 100 per cent, but in comparism, there is great achievement.”

He therefore urged the Federal Government not to relent in its support for the state, as the state government is also working towards ensuring that farmers are returned to their respective farmlands for their farming activities.

Speaking on the infrastural development in the state, Teli said that schools were built to give education to the children of the Internally Displayed Persons (IPDPs), while houses were also built to accommodate the IDPs. ” The building of infrastructure like schools, houses, hospitals and other provision of social amenities are going concurrently to ease the security situation of the state,” he said.
