Winning of Laurels by the Kwaran Badminton star, Feranmi Adekunle Aguda and eight-year-old athlete, Adeela Adedeji, at different international sports competitions have received accolade beyond the shore of the state.

The Arewa Solidarity Group (ASG), has also congratulated the duo of Feranmi Adekunle Aguda and Adeela Adedeji, for making the state proud.

The group in a statement on Monday, explained that the performances of the duo was an evidence that the AbdulRasaq led administration has invested in sports in the state.

According to the statement signed by the group’s leader, Isa Ahmed and made available to Sports Central, stated that Sports are a crucial part of life that promotes growth and development.

The statement further explained sports help in the development of mental health and physical fitness of the body. Through participation in sports and games, a people gains various skills, experience and confidence that are helpful for developing their personality and the society at large.

The group urged the governor to encourage the winning stars for their efforts for making the state proud at the badminton tournament in Cameroon and at the Africa Gymnastics Clubs Championships in Pretoria, South Africa respectively.

While also congratulating the Kwara state governor over the feat, the group however noted that encouranging the duo would encourage others to dream big in every good thing they venture into.
