Mr Dogo Shammah, outgoing Commissioner of Information, Culture and Tourism, said working with Gov. Abdullahi Sule has broadened his horizon about good governance and offered him an opportunity to contribute his quota towards development of Nasarawa State.
Mr Shammah disclosed this in his valedictory remarks and handing over to the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, on in Lafia.
According to the outgoing Commissioner, working with Gov. Sule has redefined him especially in the areas of hardiwork, transparency and honesty, noting that he will forever be grateful for the opportunity.
“My deep appreciation goes to Gov. Abdullahi Sule for finding me worthy to serve as a member of his cabinet, honestly, I count it as privilege to contribute my quota to the development of my beloved state,” he said.
The outgoing Commissioner said the Ministry under his stewardship had lived up to its responsibility of working in line with the core mandates amongst other things effective information dissemination about the policies and programmes of Government.
He enumerated the achievements of the Ministry under his watched to include giving unprecedented attention to tourism and cultural sectors as well as cordial relationship recorded between the media and the government.
“Today, I am happy to say without mincing words that am leaving the Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism better than the time I met it, this is largely possible because of the support and cooperation given to me by the staff,” he said.
Shammah thanked the Permanent Secretary, Yusuf Musa and other management team for their support, dedication and commitment that enable the Ministry to achieve numerous successes.
Responding, Barr. Yusuf Musa, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, thanked the outgoing Commissioner for his numerous achievements recorded, while pledging to build on the success, with the support of the staff of the Ministry.
