A Media Consultant, Abdulwaheed Olayinka Adubi, has tasked the Governor of Ogun state, Dapo Abiodun on clean environment of the state. This followed the indiscriminate dumping of waste within the state capital.
While also saying that maintainance of the state infrastructure should be Abiodun’s most top-priority, just as he disclosed that in the last 35 months of Abiodun’s leadership, the massive infrastructure spread across the state, being the products of his predecessor are not adequately maintained.
Adubi who is the Chief Executive Officer ( CEO ), Hawlaab Media Training and Research Centre (HMTRC) made this known while addressing youths in Abeokuta, the state capital on Sunday.
He did say, though, the state is economically viable, being the industrial hub of the country, adding that clean environnment and maintainance of the state infrastructure could had more value to the state.
” Clean environment increases productivity, ensures safety and creates a good impression. In any society, the state of cleanliness of a society represents the mindset. Within this period, Ogun state is becoming too dirty”, Adubi emphasized.
The Media Chief therefore urged Governor Abiodun to as a matter of urgency change the narrative for better and not to ignore the call on clean environment and maintainance of the state infrastructure.
” There is no doubt that Ogun state is blessed in both human and natural resources and these experiences on boards must be properly tapped through proper policies that would be of benefit to the economy of the state and her citizenry,” Adubi explained.
While speaking, Adubi advised the youths to be vigilant while electing leaders in the coming general elections, saying: ” we are all living to witness to what is happening and as stakeholders we must right the wrong of the past”.
