Former Vice President and presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the 2023 General Elections, Atiku Abubakar, has assured the new Acting Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Olukayode Ariowoola of his commitment towards advancing the frontiers of judicial independence.

Atiku, in a terse statement on Monday, also assured of ensuring the promotion of separation of powers as the bedrock of deepening democracy and development.
This was as he noted that the decision of the immediate past CJN, Justice Tanko Muhammad to vacate office as the Chief Justice of Nigeria is commendable.

Atiku while wishing Justice Tanko well after his service to the nation, equally wished the newly sworn-in Acting CJN, Justice Ariowoola success as he steps in to fill the gap.
