Big Brother Naija Production Cost N3.5bn – MultiChoice

MultiChoice Nigeria on Wednesday revealed that the production of the Big Brother Naija Season five cost about N3.5 billion.

The Managing Director, John Ugbe made the disclosure at the Multichoice Showcase 2020 launch held via Zoom.

Ugbe noted that the company will continue investing in the reality show ‘even in toughest times’ to ensure viewers’ happiness.

“BBNaija production gulps N3.5 Billion. We won’t stop investing in putting smiles on the faces of our customers, even in the toughest times.”

Ugbe had in July announced that the winner for the ‘Lockdown’ edition will walk away with N85 million grand prize, the biggest since its debut back in 2006.

The breakdown of the grand prize includes N30m cash prize; a two-bedroom apartment courtesy Revolution Plus; a top of the range SUV from Nigerian automaker, Innoson Motors; a trip to Dublin courtesy Guinness; home appliances courtesy Scanfrost; a trip to Dubai packaged by Travelbeta; a year’s supply of Indomie noodles, Munch it and Colgate toothpaste; a year’s supply of Pepsi, a branded chiller and a trip to watch the UEFA Champions League finale; and a brand new Oppo mobile smartphone.
