The Federal Government has shifted the resumption of international flights by one week in order to put in place non-aviation logistics to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the international flights.

The Director General of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, (NCAA) Musa Nuhu announced that the government has shifted the resumption of international flight to the September 5. He said this while making his remarks during Thursday’s briefing of the Presidential Task Force on Covid-19 in Abuja.

He said “For this reason unfortunately I have to alert you that the resumption date has been shifted by one week to the 5th of September, which is a sacrosanct date”. He added that the logistics such as testing, online platforms and other protocols are being sorted out to ensure smooth operations of international flights.

He also assured that the airports are ready to resume international flights.
